Gymnastics Open Gym
Open gym is supervised non-instructional gym time designed for students to have fun in the gym. Open gym can be used to practice skills students are familiar with. Ages for summer Open Gym are 12 months to 18 years. Any participants under the age of 5 must be accompanied by and adult. Bring a friend and come have some fun in the gym.

Cost includes a t-shirt. For questions, please contact Becky Stockford, LCS PE Teacher, by email at bstockfo@lindenschools.org. Need to train for the big races like The Crim* coming up this summer? Join a running or walking group that fits your pace! You will benefit from group leader guidance and encouragement from the whole group. A training program will be supplied if you don’t have one already. Whether you need to train for a race or not, you can enjoy a summer of being active with like-minded individuals who share your hobby! *Not affiliated with The Crim, registration fee is not included

3rd-6th Graders Linden Youth Cheer Clinic

All 3rd-6th grade girls are welcome! No previous experience necessary, just bring your smiles and outside voices! The Cheer Clinic girls will cheer the first half of the Linden Eagles Varsity home game on August 27th at 7:00 p.m. vs. Haslett. Meet in the LHS Cafeteria at 6:00 p.m. on Varsity Game Day (August 27th) Cost includes t-shirt and bow Must be registered by August 17th Please wear shorts, t-shirt, and tennis shoes. Hair should be out of the face for the clinic. Don't forget your water!

New camp oportunity! Join our preschool coaches for this 4 and 5 year old camp in August. This 2 day camp will expose your little gymnast to all 4 events while also working on balance, coorination, and strength.

Beyond Basic Sourdough

Please bring a large bowl, spoon and a loaf pan. Must be registered by Tuesday, July 14th Already taken a sourdough class but ready to elevate your baking? This class is for bakers who know the basics and want to take their sourdough to the next level. We’ll troubleshoot common sourdough challenges while focusing on achieving the perfect crumb and demonstrating scoring techniques for beautiful, professional-looking loaves. You’ll make a sandwich loaf to take home and explore practical ways to use sourdough discard. Plenty of time is built in for questions and hands-on problem solving so you can leave feeling confident and inspired.

Please bring a a cutting board, chopping knife or mandolin, large bowl, wooden spoon and apron. Must be registered by Wednesday, July 29th Discover the art of fermentation and why it’s been used for generations to support digestion and overall health. In this hands- on workshop, you’ll learn how to make simple fermented foods at home, no special equipment and experience required. We’ll cover the basics of fermentation, safety tips and easy recipes like sauerkraut and quick ferments that fit real life.

This class is for students just moving up from our Twinkling Stars or with little or no gymnastics experience. Proper warm up, forward and backward roll, cartwheels, bridge and skills on all the apparatus will be taught.

Students will work to master skills taught in Beginner class. Forward and backward rolls along with cartwheels and back limbers will need to be mastered to advance from this level.
