Linden Cheer Youth Clinic
All 3rd-6th grade girls are welcome to this fun and energetic clinic! No previous experience is necessary, just bring your smiles and outside voices! The Cheer Clinic girls will cheer the first half of the Linden Eagles Varsity home game on Aug. 28th at 7:00 p.m. vs. L’Anse Creuse. Please meet in the LHS Cafeteria at 6:00 p.m. on game day. Must be registered by August 11th. Please wear shorts, t-shirt and tennis shoes. Hair should be out of their face for the clinic. Don’t forget your water!

This program is coordinated by the Linden Boys Varsity Basketball head coach, Brenden Miller, and the members of the Linden High School Eagles basketball team. Campers will learn basic basketball skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing, cutting, proper placement, pivoting and communication on defense. Come ready to learn, play and most importantly, enjoy!

Please bring a mat (and any other yoga props you wish), water and wear comfortable clothing! Join instructor Gloria Zysk as she guides you through a slower pace class that focuses on alignment and breath, with modification for all levels. We will work on foundational poses designed to enhance strength, flexibility and balance. Mindful breath work and movement will ease stress and tension, helping to calm and ground the mind and body.

Beginning Yoga for Wellness

Modifications will be offered to need individual needs and abilities Join instructor Jen Johnson and discover the benefits of yoga in a welcoming, supportive environment designed for beginners! This class introduces the fundamentals of yoga, including basic poses, breathing techniques and gentle stretching to improve flexibility, balance and relaxation. Whether you’re looking to reduce stress, increase mobility or simply try something new, this course offers a low-pressure way to explore yoga at your own pace.

Certified Babysitter/CPR/Safe Home Alone

Learn how to be safe and responsible, build confidence and have a competitive edge over other babysitters. Topics include first aid, when and how to call 911, CPR with manikin practice, choking and more! Students will also learn how to be safe and responsible when home alone, including the importance of not giving out personal information and what to do if somebody comes to the door. Students who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a certificate for Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid course by Live Safe Academy (valid for two years). To be certified, students must participate in the entire course from beginning to end and successfully complete all skills, which require full motor function of all four extremities. No refunds or credit with less than 24-hour notice. If you need a medical exception, email Live Safe Academy at info@livesafeacademy.com before class. Bring a snack. Pen and paper for notes is optional. No cell phone use during class except during break. Please note that students must arrive on time to be certified, so please arrive up to 10 minutes early. Parents, this class is for students who are independent and responsible enough to be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of younger children without adult supervision. Please check in your student at the beginning of class. Drop off and pick up are in the same room as class. This class sometimes ends late, approximately 10 minutes. Ages 7-9: your time to come is 7:00-8:00 p.m. Ages 10+: your time to come is 8:00-9:00 p.m. These classes are designed to provide the female athlete at all skill levels with specialized group & individual instruction. They will have the opportunity to develop all fundamental skills of catching & pitching: mechanics, form, drills and mental approach. Coaches and parents are encouraged to attend, help and learn. Catchers are FREE and encouraged to come! Must bring your own catcher. Soft indoor balls ONLY! (Easton Incrediballs)

This class is for students just moving up from our Twinkling Stars or with little or no gymnastics experience. Proper warm up, forward and backward roll, cartwheels, bridge and skills on all the apparatus will be taught.

Students will work to master skills taught in Beginner class. Forward and backward rolls along with cartwheels and back limbers will need to be mastered to advance from this level.

3 Super Stars
Tryouts are required for this level. Practices are twice a week to prepare for competition and develop skills. Routines are performed on each event to showcase gymnast's individual strengths. Students will compete with the Michigan Recreational Gymnastics League throughout the year.
